When I was younger, I tried to figure out lucid dreaming. I tried staying up for days on end. Looking back on it, that probably wasn't a good idea. But it worked. I was aware in my dream, but as soon as I realized that I was dreaming, the excitement woke me up. I've also known people who had night terrors. That is a terrible thing to have to deal with. Also, some people sleepwalk and that has always fascinated me.</span></div><div style="background-color: white; color: #1d2228; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13.3333px;"><span style="font-family: Arimo, Arial; font-size: 11pt;">ZE: I'm sure. If you wake up and you've killed someone, but you don't remember, that would be horrible.</span></div><div style="background-color: white; color: #1d2228; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13.3333px;"><span style="font-family: Arimo, Arial; font-size: 11pt;">ZE: And it was. I loved that depiction in the movie. I had done some horror shorts, but it was my daughter that inspired me to actually get up and make it. One day she called me, "the guy on the couch," and that motivated me to want to achieve this.</span></div><div style="background-color: white; color: #1d2228; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13.3333px;"><span style="font-family: Arimo, Arial; font-size: 11pt;">ZE: Well, I'm really glad she did that.</span></div><div style="background-color: white; color: #1d2228; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13.3333px;"><span style="font-family: Arimo, Arial; font-size: 11pt;"><br /></span></div><div style="background-color: white; color: #1d2228; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13.3333px;"><span style="font-family: Arimo, Arial; font-size: 11pt;">Review: I am so glad I got to speak with the writer/director of this film. I really enjoyed it. I really loved some characters, and hated others. The dialog was often humorous, and the story was well crafted. At the end, I was glad that there was some semblance of resolution. I don't want to spoil it for you. I also like that there are so many unanswered questions. It leaves it open for them to be explored in sequels. And if there are any, I will definitely be watching. Unfortunately, there are no current plans for a DVD or Blu-Ray release, but I hope they'll be able to secure distribution because I would love to own a copy. For now, we can all watch it starting November 4th on digital and VOD.</span></div>Zombie Evolutionhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13215913325294222325noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1804886572481274586.post-74380624320805766502022-10-20T18:19:00.000-07:002022-10-20T18:19:34.638-07:00VIRT review<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgydG3lPIH_Yf3a--pKZmy9VSFrDM_RMaz_9gAvYIhJgPrhiM6a669otiDOpin3CY9RhRRGjZ4iNuAJkOZ53DL1Mob6ZBVNhBm77eA0MqEMNLzb1peQXyah7E6AMIu3QR2CWnZN-wqtHXCs5qvvDNe90DECIcLKzQQVgtF90SHFHOkkXVHLHv5cas-9/s4961/Virt%20Cover.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4961" data-original-width="3508" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgydG3lPIH_Yf3a--pKZmy9VSFrDM_RMaz_9gAvYIhJgPrhiM6a669otiDOpin3CY9RhRRGjZ4iNuAJkOZ53DL1Mob6ZBVNhBm77eA0MqEMNLzb1peQXyah7E6AMIu3QR2CWnZN-wqtHXCs5qvvDNe90DECIcLKzQQVgtF90SHFHOkkXVHLHv5cas-9/s320/Virt%20Cover.jpg" width="226" /></a></div><br /><span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2228; font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">Summary:</span><p></p><div style="background-color: white; color: #1d2228; font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;"><i>In one of the United States busiest cities, crime is always right around the corner; but at Virtual Software Solutions, crime takes a whole other form. In a not-too-distant future, Virtual Software Solutions (VSS) emerges as the leading-edge provider of software performance and coding. They have developed a method for programmers to virtually project themselves into the computer to fix software problems. Software bugs that used to take weeks and months can now be solved in mere hours. Upon fixing code in a very popular social media site, one of VSS's leading programmers - Joe Wilson, notices something is not right. He has stumbled into areas where photos have been obliterated. Stranger yet, inside the virtual world Joe sees a man in dark clothing, with incredible skills wreaking havoc. This skilled virtual coder appears to be a rogue killer, selecting his next victims from the social media's profile pictures. It quickly becomes obvious to Joe that people owning the photos destroyed in the virtual world will wind up dead. The police think Joe might be involved as there are just too many coincidences that he personally knows. Even his co-workers have started to realize anyone in contact with him suddenly becomes marked for death. Joe tries to make sense of why people are dying, clear his name and figure out his role in saving them. It's a race against time to save those that have been selected for death. 18 years ago A burglar broke into a author’s house. He comes across a computer with all his secret stories. One by one he reads them and slowly is drawn into the terror of each one. Now the Burglar played once again by JOEL D. WYNKOOP is back his old tricks and once again breaks in a house with stories to be told. This time he is taunted by a man who promises to take him to hell and back and make him pay for past evil deeds. PHIL HERMAN returns and is joined by DUSTIN HUBBARD this time to produce. This chilling anthology features some horror cult classic stars such as DEBBIE ROCHON, the first Jason in FRIDAY THE 13TH, ARI LEHMAN, SHAWN C. PHILLIPS and DEBBIE D! The YouTube channel, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6QBNwm94MzoZFlUWuxMwZQ">Blinky500</a> primarily makes fan films. I've been a fan of this channel for years. They explore a lot of the stories that aren't shown in the original source material. Some of my favorite films of theirs depicted the back story of Freddy Krueger before he was killed and was still human. That's what pulled me in to this channel and their amazing content.<br />
<br />
My friend, Chris R. Notarile has a keen sense for gripping tales involving characters we already know and love, such as Michael Myers, Chucky, Wonder Woman, and Spider Man. His films are sometimes serious, sometimes humorous, sometimes scary. You can tell that he is actually a fan of all the characters he uses in his films. He knows their rich history and characteristics, and carefully crafts amusing, fascinating, and impactful stories about their everyday lives and adventures.<br />
<br />
Eradicator: Absolute Authority is an extremely timely tale of justice in today's world of corruption in the police force and trigger happy cops. It's an impactful show of how those of us who may seem powerless do still have heroes who will stand up for the 99 percent. It's the story of an injustice that was done to one of us, that represents the story that could be any of our's. As Martin Luther King Jr. said, "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." This films shows that we cannot let injustice stand. The production value is great, with a couple of fantastic drone shots. All together, very well done.</div>

<span class="yiv6743744599" style="font-family: sans-serif;">I never was afraid of monsters—at least, not until They came: the visitors from outer space.</span></div>

<span class="yiv6743744599" style="font-family: sans-serif;">It’s hard, dangerous work, with grueling hours that offer little sleep, but it’s the one thing I know will help make a difference in our ever-changing world.</span></div>

<span style="background-color: #444444; color: white;">When two hardened criminals facing harsh sentences make a break from prison, they hatch their plan to rob a paranoid recluse who runs a boarding house in her sprawling Victorian manor. Just as their plan seems to be coming together, things inside the mansion begin to unravel. It's a race against time for the men to escape with their lives and sanity intact. The VanGobels mansion holds some very dark secrets, and those who don't follow Ms.VanGobels rules are sure to unlock those secrets. Abandon all hope he who enters here.</span></div>

<div class="author-container" style="font-family: verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; margin-bottom: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;"><span style="color: white;"> No Knock List is an independently released horror film, directed by Rich Rule, and written by Zeilo Vogta. It stars one of my favorite horror actresses, Maria Olsen. It opens with a short scene in which the inescapable dangers of the house are hinted at. From there, it establishes our two protagonists, Keith, and Lou. They are both prisoners, but Lou seems much more of a hardened criminal. Later, we find out Keith's story of how he ended up in prison.</span></span></div>
<div class="author-container" style="font-family: verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; margin-bottom: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;"><span style="color: white;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div class="author-container" style="font-family: verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; margin-bottom: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;"><span style="color: white;"> There are various creepy scenes, including the dinner table scene, the ballroom scene, and the bathroom scene. The ballroom scene features some ballet, which was both beautiful, and haunting to watch. Actress Maria Olsen plays the matriarch of the bed and breakfast. As usual, she turns in a spooky and eccentric performance. You do not want to bump into her in a dark corridor. Much mystery surrounds the house and its past. The two criminals would probably have been better off going somewhere else.</span></span></div>
<div class="author-container" style="font-family: verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; margin-bottom: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;"><span style="color: white;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div class="author-container" style="font-family: verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; margin-bottom: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;"><span style="color: white;"> I don't want to ruin the ending for you, but suffice it to say, this film is well worth a viewing. Many of the other characters have creepy performances. And there is genuine chemistry between Keith and Andrea, the mysterious and soft-spoken servant with a past. <strong style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 16px;">Official synopsis</strong><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "helvetica"; font-size: 16px;"> : Two sisters who suffered abuse as children at the hands of their sadistic father decide, after his death, to use witchcraft to bring his spirit back to get revenge.</span><br />

<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "helvetica"; font-size: 16px;">I have a personal connection with several of the people involved in this movie. When I was a talent agent, I submitted several of my actors for roles in some films that Dominique Swain and Anna Harr were in. I, myself, auditioned for a film in which I would have had the opportunity to work with Augie Duke. I've been to several premieres of James Cullen Bressack and have gotten to speak with him face to face. I've blogged about his movies on multiple occasions. I love his movies! I even own a rare DVD of some of his early work. For months now, I've even been playing Words With Friends with Dominique Swain. She usually kicks my butt. Anyway, I look forward to seeing this film. I hope it premieres in Tucson. The trailer looks absolutely fabulous!</span></div>

<span style="background-color: #444444;">MO: Seeing that I first went on stage at the age of
6, I think I've now been in the industry for more years than I can
count!</span></div>

<span style="background-color: #444444;">ZE: I've seen your posts and know that this sort of
film is right up your alley. What other projects have you done?</span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;">MO: Although I've been in a ton of horror features,
from what I'm hearing, I'm best known for Starry Eyes, Trophy Heads
and Mark of the Witch. I was also in Percy Jackson & The
Olympians: The Lightning Thief, and I will be starring alongside
Jamie Bernadette and Camille Keaton in the much-anticipated sequel to
the iconic I Spit On Your Grave (1978), I Spit On Your Grave Deja Vu.</span></div>

<span style="background-color: #444444;">ZE: What projects are you currently working on
besides this one?</span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;">MO: Currently I'm gearing up to shoot horror
features Sweet Dreams, Desert Shadows and The Crumbs (that's just up
until the end of April). The anthology horror feature The Sunday
Night Slaughter from An Anti-Hero Production should also be released
this year, along with Beast of our Fathers from Menning Films,
Charlie Comparetto's Ghost in the Graveyard, Luke Genton's The Bone
Box and Barry Jay's Ashes. I've also recently had three films
released: Robert Conway's Krampus Origins, Roxy Shih's Painkillers
and Rebekah McKendry's Christmas-horror-themed anthology feature All
The Creatures Were Stirring.</span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;">ZE: What is your involvement in this film?</span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;">MO: I'm blessed to be talent on this project, which
means that I'm one of the awesome actors that have been cast in the
film. I'm thrilled about this because the character I read for was
very intriguing, and I am very interested in finding out more about
her and discovering what makes her tick! My character's name is The
Librarian, but she's so much more than your normal
Marian-The-Librarian type...in fact, she's rather terrifying!</span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;">ZE: How did you get involved in this?</span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;">MO: I saw the breakdown for the film on the IMDB
Feature Film Casting Board, and I submitted for the role both
directly by email and thru the IMDB website. I was lucky enough to be
requested to audition, and I then taped my audition and submitted it
to the production team. A few weeks after that, they emailed me to
say that, if I liked the script, they would like to offer me the
role!</span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">

<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;">ZE: What does the story mean to you?</span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;">MO: I found Window With A View to be a tale that
operates on several levels while its intersecting stories touch on
several groups of people showing that the actions spawned by the Big
Bad's malevolence spans decades. Being trapped somewhere deadly that
you cannot escape from is many people's worst nightmare, and the
Haunted Orphanage, home to the titular Window, will never let you go!</span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;">The film's website goes on to summarize the
story as follows:</span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;">"Our story begins at a girls' orphanage,
with the county sheriff stumbling upon a mass murder scene. 20 years
later, four college students goof off outside of the orphanage, when
one of the students gets drawn into the house and will not let him
escape. The other three, after trying to get in to save him, report
to the authorities and an investigation begins, with the force
discovering strange information about the house years ago. The
student’s brother is called in, who is now a paranormal
investigator. He, along with his “Scooby” gang and his brother's
friends, re-enter the house. Clue by clue, they are led to the
discovery that they are unable to leave the house either. One by one
they start to fall victim to the house and spirit that feasts upon
their souls, the result of “sin” that was in the house."</span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;">ZE: How did the screenplay affect you when you
first read it?</span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;">MO: I read the screenplay through in one sitting -
I always like to do that so that I get a sense of the continuity of
the story - and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I'm a very visual reader
because I usually see everything that's going on in my mind's eye,
and WWAV has some great imagery in it, which is something I'm looking
forward to helping create. I also enjoyed the humor in the story, and
the more light-hearted scenes act as a pleasant break from all the
blood and gore! The backbone of the story - and the cause of all the
horrible happenings - is extremely intriguing, and, as I've never
quite seen this particular type of villain, it may even be unique!</span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;">ZR: What sort of perks can investors look
forward to when they contribute to this campaign?</span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;">MO: I find the perks that are being offered as part
of this project to be extremely exciting as they include - among
other things - a chance to have an actual speaking role in the film
written especially for you! Other fun perks include personalized
video messages, your own personal Easter Egg in the film, annotated
copies of the script and sneak peeks at the footage. Product
placements and song placements are also up for grabs, as are Executor
Producer credits - and these are only SOME of the perks!</span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;">ZE: When is this film looking to start
production?</span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;">MO: I understand that the final round of auditions
will be happening this month in Kentucky, and the production team has
told me that filming should start in summer.</span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;">ZE: With the budget, will the film only be
taking local actors and crew, or can people from out of town submit
for an audition?</span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;">MO: Well, I know of at least ONE out-of-state actor
that's lucky enough to be cast : ME!</span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;">As I'm not privy to the film's budget other
than what's public knowledge on the Indiegogo fundraising page, I
don't know how many out-of-state actors the project will bring in.</span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;">ZE: A feature film on a budget like this is
ambitious. Will further funding be needed for post-production, and
promotion?</span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="background-color: #444444;">MO: The WWAV budget breakdown that was uploaded to
the film's Indiegogo page does indeed show that post-production would
be covered should the film reach its goal. The big question, of
course, is "will the goal actually be reached?". This is,
of course, where everyone wanting to support indie film comes into
things, and Team WWAV would love it if people could contribute and
pick up one of the awesome perks, or, if that's not possible, if they
could just share the project on social media to get the word out
there. Should the goal not be reached - and I've seen this situation
many times before with indie films - the filmmakers could decide to
make the film with what they have managed to raise, and they'd then
launch a further funding campaign to cover post-production costs
after principal photography has wrapped.</span></div>

Let me start by telling you that this book is the sequel to The Demon Dead: Tres Zombies, which is my favorite zombie book of all time. Then let me add, this book is my new favorite. Arthur M. Wyatt is a master story teller. Both books are deeply involved with what happens to the spirits of the people once the person has become a zombie. Any fans of my own work will understand why that would be so fascinating to me. That's exactly what my books are about!<br />
<br />
Troubled Waters continues the story from Tres Zombies exactly where we left off. The protagonists can never seem to catch a break. In the first book, there were several interactions between our heroes and various people and zombies. As we go through this narrative, we re-visit all of them and see how their stories turned out. It gives a delicious, often depressing finality to their stories. But that's not even my favorite part of this book.<br />
<br />
Without giving too much away, I will tell you that at several points in the story, we will be given the backstory to a zombie that has just attacked our heroes. These poignant and touching vignettes add a richness and depth of character rarely seen in zombie stories. I actually care about the zombie who just got his head blown off because he was trying to eat my hero. That is my favorite part about this book. I cried so many times throughout reading it.<br />
<br />
Do yourselves a favor and pick this one up. I know that a lot of people think that the zombie genre is tapped out, but there are so many unexplored avenues of story possibilities and Arthur M. Wyatt is a pioneer in the field of spiritual zombie stories. Brian Keene, David Wellington, and I can only watch as he forges new ground.</div>

This movie is quite well acted. Rae Olivier, the lead actress turns in a heart-felt performance as Zoe. She can be angry, seductive, and even produce real tears. Several elements of this movie remain a mystery right up until the final scene. You see them and wonder what they mean, and then it wraps up perfectly in a stunning turn of events that leaves you wanting to know more. There is definitely room for sequels here and I'd watch them if they are ever made. You can view the trailer here: <a href="http://octobercoastpr.us4.list-manage.com/track/click?u=42d7e4b10a56737acecca7c71&id=db402bb309&e=dedf268df6">Beacon Point trailer</a><br />
<br />
Take a trip to Beacon Point this May when the highly-anticipated science-fiction thriller lands on VOD via Uncork'd Entertainment.<br />
<br />
The film, called "an intelligent and interestingly innovative inferno of horror, science fiction, folklore, and thrills," hails from talented newcomer, Eric Blue.<br />
<br />
Zoe has quit her job to hike the Appelachian Trail as a tribute to her deceased father. She joins a small group of inexperienced hikers for an adventure of a lifetime. The group is Dan, recently divorced and looking for a change from Silicon Valley, Cheese, a 17-year-old kid, and Brian, his half brother that he just met. They are led by Drake, a hot-headed trail master with a questionable past. They are upbeat as they set out on the ten-day trek through the Great Smokey Mountains. Drake leads them away from the main trail and the tourists, promising a grand adventure and sights they'd never see with the standard tour. After a gruesome discovery, they become lost deep in the mountains. The adventure spins out of control when they are terrorized at their campsite by an unseen force.<br />
<br />
Rae Olivier, Jon Briddell, Eric Goins, Jason Burkey, and RJ Shearer star in this Eric Blue film written by Blue and Traci Carroll.</div>

Evil Nanny is based on a true story and is all the more terrifying for that! This movie is amazingly well-made and has twists and turns that keep you guessing. The ending was unexpectedly touching.<br />
<br />
Famed filmmaker Jared Cohn made this movie, Evil Nanny, which is due out in May.<br />
<br />
A couple hires a live-in nanny to watch the offspring while they work. At first, everything goes perfectly, but when an unsafe incident means the parents no longer want the nanny around, they find out this nanny is savvy at not being evicted from her live-in situation. So savvy, in fact, that she can make these parents' lives a true nightmare.</div>

<br />
Famed filmmaker Jared Cohn has made three new films: Devil's Domain, Evil Nanny, and King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table - all due out in May. Cohn, who is gearing up to direct the Lynyrd Skynyrd movie, has had a successful run in horror and thrillers, with such films as Buddy Hutchins, Jail Bait, Wishing For A Dream, and Little Dead Rotting Hood to his name. These three new films add something different to his dynamic.</div>

Los Angeles, California: Galen Christy's High Octane Pictures, in association with the Oklahoma Film+Music Office (OF+MO), have kicked off production on Ryan Bellgardt's The Jurassic Games.<br />
<br />
Starring Ryan Merriman (Final Destination 3) and Perry Reeves (Entourage), the film imagines a world set in the near future, wherein ten death row convicts are chosen to compete in the Jurassic Games, the ultimate virtual reality game show that pits its players against dinosaurs and each other. However, there is a catch. If you die in the virtual game, you also die in reality; and for Anthony Tucker (Adam Hampton), survival is his one chance to be reunited with his children after having been wrongfully imprisoned for the murder of his wife. As the devious Host continues adding improbable challenges, the characters will find the odds stacked against them as only one victor can emerge as winner and claim their freedom.<br />
<br />
The Jurassic Games is the third film from Emmy Award-winning director Bellgardt, whose highly anticipated creature feature Gremlin will be released this summer.<br />
<br />
Says "High Octane Pictures is very excited to be back in business with Ryan Bellgardt - inarguably one of the most talented new filmmakers in the business. The Jurassic Games is a very exciting concept - it's part Hunger Games, part Jurassic Park, and just a hell of a lot of fun. With Bellgardt behind the camera, and the fantastic cast we've lined up for the film, it's definitely a movie for film fans to anticipate. It's gonna be dino-mite."<br />
<br />
High Octane Pictures upcoming credits include buzzed-about horror title Clowntergeist, out mid-year, and high concept science-fictioner The Answer.</div>

Psychos did something that movies rarely do, and that is it surprised me with the twist at the end. I pride myself in being able to figure out endings before they come, but this time I could not. I watched as an investigation of the crime scene and a news report (featuring a cameo by my friend, Johanna Rae) set up the ending. They told you how it was going to end, but not how we were going to get to that ending. This is one of those rare movies where character development drives the story forward. I highly recommend this movie. I'm usually not a fan of torture horror, but this kept that to a minimum and it was actually relevant to the story, so it was justified. At times it reminded me of The Ring, sometimes it reminded me of Poltergeist, The Grudge, or What Lies Beneath. Mostly though, it forges new territory with it's twists and turns. I pride myself in being able to figure out the endings of movies early, but this one kept me guessing. I honestly did not see the ending coming. Lead actor Stefanie Estes gave one hell of a performance as Claire. Zack Ward also does some strong acting. So many of the shot choices and cinematography added to the beauty of the story. The music, acting, camera work, and writing all went together gorgeously to spin this ghostly tale.</span></span><br />

Peelers is not technically a zombie film, but it looks a lot like one. These people are infected, so it's more along the lines of 28 Days Later. It's a fun movie with clever dialog and some genuine humor. There is also lots of gore and nudity to satisfy any fan who loved Zombies vs. Strippers or Strippers vs. Zombies.<br />
<br />
From Seve Schelenz, director of Skew, comes the gooey, gory instant classic Peelers premiering on VOD this March.<br />
<br />
Wren Walker, Caz Odin Darko and Madison J. Loos star in a "pretty damn fun trip" (Dread Central) that "any horror fan is going to love from start to finish" (HEAVY Magazine).<br />
<br />
Former baseball player Blue Jean Douglas is closing down her small-town strip club and leaving for good. But her plans are not so easily attained when a group of coal miners show up and with them a deadly contaminant. What starts out as a last hurrah for the infamous strip club, turns into a blood bath. With time running out, Blue Jean must step up to the plate to try and put a stop to the spread of destruction before it's too late and she loses everything she holds dear.<br />
<br />
Peelers, directed by Seve Schelenz and written by Lisa DeVita, available On Demand March 28 from Uncork'd Entertainment.<br />

<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
Do you consider yourself to be a fan of
comic books? If so, are you familiar with Dyn-A-Mic Tales? If your
comic book tastes harken back to the good old days where stories were
important and heroes were actually good people, you should check us
out! Why is that, you ask? Dyn-A-Mic Tales stars super-heroes: Dark
Thunder and Red Web. The creators (James E. Babcock and Rich Konkle)
weave intricately detailed stories involving characters with depth
and fleshed out back stories. The humor is intelligent and quirky,
and the characters are believeable and relatable.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
In Rich's own words: "(Dyn-A-Mic
Tales) is a double feature because (James has) a backlog of
characters and concepts to try out...and this puts them in print
twice as fast. In this issue, we have a goofy, super-hero satire
("Dark Thunder") paired with a mysterious, mythical
"goddess" ("Red Web"). I can attest that James
has other crime-fighting, sci-fi, and espionage characters waiting in
the wings. Whatever shows up in future issues, though, the one common
denominator will be costumes and super-powers. James is "old
school" that way." - Rich Konkle</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
In James's own words: "Dark
Thunder is an overly-muscled, square-jawed caricature...a beloved,
big jerk of a super-hero who was unknowingly cursed with an alter
ego...which caused him to frequently morph into a nervous, bumbling
little peon called "Norman"! Think "Superman becomes
Mr. Magoo"! Of course these two nut jobs can't stand each other,
and only want to return to their "normal" existence.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
"Red Web" is a more recent
creation. My first attempt actually looked like a very young
Spider-Man, but with a HUGE amount of hair trailing behind her. I
quietly thought this looks stupid, since she'd be constantly tripping
over it to get to the bad guys! So then I thought, "Why not add
a webbing look to it, and make it an actual SUPER-POWER?" The
webbed "hair" would be red...and out of NOWHERE I uttered
her name for the first time: "RED WEB"!</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />
</div>
<br />
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<a href="https://www.blogger.com/null" name="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1480985821895_7685"></a> "So there you have it. "Dyn-A-Mic Tales" is meant to
be a creative incubator: a place to try out those unused heroes and
heroines still crammed inside my filing cabinet...give them
life...and see if they grow! ...And once they've had their day in the
sun, it'll be time for two other lonely, unused characters to finally
make their premiere! Should be fun!" - James E. Babcock<br /><br /> If
you love well made comic books, this is THE ONE to get on board with!

This is an art website by my friend Jasmine Upton. I had the privilege of working with her at Nightfall at Old Tucson. She is a dedicated scarer, but I also recently found out that she's an amazing artist as well. Here is what she has to say about her website.<br />
<br />
I make connections with mother nature and the human body because they're both very beautiful. I've been doing art since I was about 15, and now I run my own shop as an 18-year-old Tucson artist. I want my art to influence people to be unique and to be themselves because the world needs individuality and creativity. Some of the money I make off of it goes to breast cancer foundations, and also toward saving local pollinators (bees). My site is also really neat because it's for all artists to get their stuff out. Redbubble is an amazing site for small artists and they are high quality producers. I really love them, and I love that they're here for the artists!<br />
<br />
You can find her art at: <a href="http://www.redbubble.com/people/lilcactibabe/shop?asc=u">Lilcactibabe</a> I hope that you find her art as beautiful as I do. As a matter of fact, I'm always looking for local talent to commission book covers. I will be asking Jasmine to paint a unique cover for one of my upcoming books. Please check out her site!</div>

<br />
I recently started working at a local haunted attraction called Ravenhearse. It is one of the only haunted attractions in the United States that is open year-round. It's a unique haunted experience because we offer different tours that are designed to accomodate all ages and different scare levels. The Green Tour is designed for children of any age. There are no scares at all. It's fun and educational. It is also designed to accomodate children with special needs. The Yellow Tour is for children who are 7 years or older. The tour takes place in the dark. There are no scares. The Red Tour is not recommended for children under the age of 12. This tour also takes place in the dark. There is disturbing content and it is terrifying. Finally, there is the Dark Tour that is for children 12 years or older. Fact is stranger than fiction. It is a guided tour of the haunt, in the dark, which focuses on the haunted artifacts that we have. There is disturbing content.<br />
<br />
The haunt is open from 6pm to 9pm on Thursdays, and 5pm to 10pm Friday through Sunday. We are closed Monday through Wednesday. Admission costs $5 per person, or two wooden nickels, or a Trail Dust Town attractions wristband, which is good for one visit to the haunt. Children under 3 get in for free. We are located in Trail Dust Town, located at 6541 E. Tanque Verde Rd. Suite 27, Tucson, Arizona 85715. For more information, you can contact us at (520) 370-5472. You can also look us up on Facebook and Twitter. Our website is <a href="http://ravenhearse.com/">Ravenhearse website</a>. Come on over for a ghoulishly fun time!<br />
<br />
Here is a music video for the song, Not As Wicked As You, by the band, Mission Creeps. <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0FPyF_d5PQ">Not As Wicked As You</a>. It was created by H. Barragan Jr. at Red Bennie Digital. It features James Arr, Miss Frankie Stein, George Palenzuela, Greivsley RavenHearse, and crew. It was filmed on location at Trail Dust Town in Tucson, Arizona in September 2016.<br />

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Have you seen the short horror film KLAGGER? If you haven't and still consider yourself a TRUE independent horror fan, YOU SHOULD! Why is that, you ask? KLAGGER screened at dozens of film festivals and conventions throughout the US and Europe for three solid years. The filmmakers (Casey & Gene Crow) are now expanding the short film into a 90 minute feature, prompted by an ever-growing outpour of fan enthusiasm.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span>
KLAGGER is a grungy, industrial horror film about a man named Joseph Klagger who was killed in a factory explosion back in the 1970's. His body was physically destroyed in a way that made recovery an impossible task. As a result, the factory was closed down, leaving KLAGGER's remains entombed there for decades. In the feature film version of KLAGGER, a demolition team arrives to implode the old building with explosives and awakens Joseph's spirit from the dead! KLAGGER will be a serious, action-packed horror movie like NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN crossed with NEAR DARK. Rural, dramatically intense, and bloody as hell!<br />
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">So far, Casey and Gene have received tremendous support from the horror community by launching a Kickstarter campaign to fund KLAGGER into feature film territory. The campaign has achieved 60% of its funding goal currently. "Horror fans are a die-hard group of people," says Casey Crow, the film's director. "We wouldn't have this level of success without their support. It's greatly appreciated!"<br style="-webkit-padding-start: 0px; background-color: #f1f0f0; color: #4b4f56; font-size: 12px; white-space: pre-wrap;" /><br />If you love well-made horror films, this is THE ONE to get on board with! To find out more on how you can become part of the KLAGGER project, hit up Joseph Klagger on Facebook (yes, he has a Facebook page) OR go directly to the Kickstarter campaign <a href="https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/374426626/klagger">Klagger Kickstarter</a> and join The Crow Brothers in making a cool horror movie!</span><br />

<br />
Actress Rochelle Davis is an amazingly deep, loving, and compassionate person. I've had the privelege of having several conversations with her over the past few years. You would know her as Sarah from the movie, The Crow with Brandon Lee, son of the late Bruce Lee. As you may know, Brandon was accidentally fatally shot on set while filming a scene. What you might not know is that this unfortunate tragedy resulted in Rochelle dropping out of acting. She has recently striven to get back into acting. Also, she is writing a book about her experiences, titled It Can't Rain All The Time. That is a quote from The Crow, and one of the most powerful messages from the film. I had the honor of being granted an interview with Rochelle recently.<br />
<br />
Me: At what point did you reach rock bottom and realize that you wanted to get back toward starting up your acting career again?<br />
Rochelle: When my ex-husband coded on my living room floor. I felt like the universe was telling me that I was wasting my time not doing what I love to do.<br />
<br />
Me: Were you allowed to keep anything from The Crow?<br />
Rochelle: Many things, but I have few left.<br />
<br />
Me: How was school life for you?<br />
Rochelle: Pretty terrible. Kids were cruel.<br />
<br />
Me: What were you doing when you found out that Brandon had been shot?<br />
Rochelle: I was in my dressing room waiting for them to locate a harness for my next shot.<br />
<br />
Me: What measures did you take to find yourself again?<br />
Rochelle: I looked inward at myself, spent a lot of time alone and learned who I was in the core.<br />
<br />
Me: Was there anything or anyone in particular that motivated you?<br />
Rochelle: Lots of things that motivate me. My son mostly.<br />
<br />
Me: How did you get into pet rats?<br />
Rochelle: My brother forced his on me and I fell in love.<br />
<br />
Me: Are there any upcoming conventions that you're excited about?<br />
Rochelle: All of them. Scares That Care in Virginia, the Palm Springs comic book convention, and the Days of the Dead in Indianapolis.<br />
<br />
Me: Do you have any acting gigs lined up?<br />
Rochelle: Mayyyybe.<br />
<br />
Me: What inspired you to write your book?<br />
Rochelle: My son.<br />
<br />
I certainly hope her the best of luck in finding some solid roles to portray cinematically. She is a dear, sweet friend of mine and I am blessed to know her. I look forward to reading her book when it comes out. I'd also love to see her at a convention some time. My dream would be to work with her on a movie project. Love and hugs always.</div>

At what point is it more humane to just rip each other's hearts out instead of cutting each other open with sharp words and lies?</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">If love is measured in scars and sacrifices, I win. "Your dad's been in an accident, Bryce." "You're all he has, Bryce." "Do the right thing, Bryce." And I do, because I'm reluctantly good, even though my father only knows how to make me bleed. I leave the bright colors of Seattle for my father's stagnant world and his decaying mind. He doesn't want me around, but he needs my memories. I don't want to be around, but maybe I need closure before the cloaked man takes him away forever, just like my mother and brother. Only thing is, I never learned to be careful what I asked for, and when I tear down the wall separating my father and me and find that everything I knew about him was a facade concealing unimaginable truths, forgiveness will come easy, but rectification might cost me everything.</span></span></div>
