Austintagious And A Game

Chief Loh has just put out a new song called, 'Austintagious', which is about a zombie apocalypse started by a superbug.  Years ago, Kayla had an idea for a zombie story where all the antibacterial soaps and antibiotics that doctors hand out creates a superbug which causes people to become zombies.  The song borrows a concept from my novel, 'The Nocent part 2: Advent of the Scathing', in which the disease is spread similarly to tuberculosis, through bodily secretions falling to the ground, drying up and becoming an airborne pathogen.  We end the song with a quote by Jerry Seinfeld.  It's a great song and really fun!
Here's a game for our fans to play!  Chief Loh has just realized that we have put out a song whose lyrics contain an error.  Whoever first announces correctly what our error was, we will write a song in dedication to our number one fan!  Good luck and happy hunting!

Six Degrees Of Kevin Bacon

Chief Loh just put out a brand new song called, 'Six Degrees Of Kevin Bacon' on reverbnation.com! In it, we go through a fairly long chain which starts with Kevin Bacon and ends with me.  We tried to weave into it as many of our favorite movies and actors, but couldn't get them all without it being a ten-minute song.  We do mention 'Six Degrees of Separation' with Will Smith, which we thought would be fun to include.  As far as the movie that I'll be in, 'To Kill A Memory', there is still no release date on IMDB.  It just says 2013.  I'll keep you posted on that.  But for now, you can go check out this song.  It was a blast to come up with and to record.  You can hear us giggling at several points during the song.  By the way, we're still standing strong at #18 in Tucson!  Thanks for listening!

Trailer

Here's the official trailer for 'To Kill A Memory', the movie that I was an extra in.  It still only says, "Coming soon", but I don't yet know a release date.  I don't see myself anywhere in this preview, but I do remember when they were shooting several of the scenes.

Finding Chief Loh

Some people have told us that they have trouble navigating through reverbnation.com. Specifically, it's been reported that it is difficult to find Chief Loh on that website. I've had a friend try and here are my findings. You go to reverbnation.com and in the upper-left-hand area is a search bar. Type in the name Chief Loh and our picture will pop up. Click on that and it will bring you to our page. Good luck and thank you to all our fans!  Oh yeah, yesterday we were up to #18 ranking in Tucson, but today we've slipped down to #19.  Still cool, though!

Bread Thieves

Chief Loh submitted our press kit to a movie called, 'Bread Thieves' to be included in the movie.  It just completed shooting and is in post-production.  I've also submitted to a radio station for consideration for some airplay.  Reverb Nation keeps emailing us opportunities such as these and I submit our music for things as I see fit.  One of these days, our music is gonna hit.  I just shared a link to our reverbnation page on the pages of most of our Facebook friends.  A bit of shameless self-promotion, I must say.  Anyway, please wish us luck!

How Many Times?

This post is supposed to be mostly about Chief Loh's new song, 'How Many Times?', which Kayla almost single-handedly wrote.  It's an amazing song and I hope you'll check out.  I also wanted to mention that I'm feeling very hopeless right now.  I just started a 12-week Cognitive Behavioral Therapy group program, but I don't really see any light at the end of my incredibly dark tunnel.  I wish I didn't feel this way.  My world feels like it's crashing down around me and I don't know what to do about it.  I feel like I'm in Slow Time more and more often and for longer.  For those of you unfamiliar, Slow Time occurs for me when I become anxious about something.  Time slows down so much sometimes that it doesn't even seem to stream, but becomes a series of photographs.  It's dreamlike and my cognitive abilities go down the drain.
There is an actress that we are friends with on Facebook.  She just directed a short movie called, 'Love Thy Neighbor'.  She's going to be showing it at a Tucson film festival and she wants us to attend.  I've told her I'm going to give her a CD of Chief Loh's music.  I've suggested that she could possibly consider it to use in any future films she directs.

Hidden Gems

Lately, Chief Loh has been including bloopers and other hidden gems at the end of a lot of our newer songs.  If you listen past the end of the song, you'll hear a kind of behind-the-scenes snippet of dialog between Kayla and myself, laughter or some other candid moment. Give us a listen some time on reverbnation.com and see for yourself!
